HEIKE LIN TRIEBEL
Wings of the Wild - Movement, Majesty, and the Silent Call of the Endangered
Wings of the Wild captures animals in moments of stillness and sudden movement: a wildcat descending a tree, cranes and swans in guarded grace, a bull in the arena, the “Chili Lizard,” and the Red Kite - a majestic bird now threatened with disappearance.
Through expressive color, layered textures, and emotionally charged surfaces, Heike Lin Triebel transforms these creatures into symbols of presence, fragility, and endurance. Her paintings evoke a deep connection to wildlife and quietly call attention to what is close to disappearing.
The series stands in dialogue with her award-winning Wild Horses works, recognized in 2024 by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation in London. Rather than protest, Triebel’s work acts through poetic presence, honoring endangered species and the fragile ecosystems they inhabit.
